figs
The famous dried figs of Kimi
is a unique product registered by the European Union as a Protected Designation of Origin product (PDO). It is a Greek product produced exclusively in the region of Kymi, Evia, from local varieties of 25,000 fig trees.
The procedure of torning and opening the figs prior drying them under the sun serves as the essential element offering the product its uniqueness. Once the drying procedure is completed, the two parts of the fig are formed in one producing the so called, “askada”.
The dried figs of Kimi are covered with a very thin crust, they are particularly sweet and have a special blonde colour.
We introduce a new proposal, the stuffed figs with walnuts or almonds, which will combine the full and rich nutritiousness with the excellent taste.
